We Need S'more Teachers Like You!

Hello my craft loves! It has been a very busy and hectic week here at my house. Today was the first day of school!! My little baby brother started kindergarten today and man do I feel old! I was asked to do a little happy for the teachers on the first day of school! Since I had to do a lot of them I sadly didn't have enough time to pull out my lovely cricut! I just wanted to get them done as quick and easily as possible. I looked online and here is what I found!

Isn't this just the cutest thing ever! I found it on Domesticated Lady. It is the cutest little site! So cute and simply! Well thats all for today! I will post later!

Edible Volcano

Hello dear friends! I am so sorry that I haven't been on in what seems to be ages! Things around here have been crazy with welcome back to school teacher handouts (soon to come). But I have come back with a bang! I made this volcano about a couple weeks ago and it was a hit! A couple of weeks ago the youth of our church had a Hawaiian theme and I was asked to make this little thing! I am so happy with the way it came out!

All I did to this was get a piece of wood and attached a piece o f PVC pipe to it about 1 1/2 ft tall. Then I made about 10 batches of rice krispe treats. I let the rice krispes cool and then I formed it to the PVC pipe. I let the structure dry over night so it would be nice and hard to decorate. I used buttercream icing for the brown, green and grey colors. and then I used a powered sugar glaze to the "lava" I used the glaze because it is somewhat shinier. After all the is said and done I used pretzel rods for the trees and fondant for the tree tops. I also made a couple fondant rocks for decoration. To top off the volcano I bought some dry ice for a local ice shack and put it in the PVC pipe with water for the smoking affect. The little umbrellas are on top of cupcakes that were placed around the volcano. I hope you enjoy my little project! Comment please! Love you all! Have a great night!

Happy Wednesday to everyone! How has your day been so far?! I hope you have had a wonderful one! Sorry I didn't post yesterday I was so busy working on this little number here. Last night we had a dinner for the YCL's (Youth Camp Leaders) for girls camp last night. I just love girls camp I wish I could have went last night but I'm to old. :( Maybe I will be a leader one day. But for now I can just do the handouts. Last night there was a fireside for the YCL's and the theme was "weddings" so I thought it would be a cute idea if they got wedding favors as there handout. Well this is what I came up with. You can't really tell because I took a horrible picture but the monogram is attached to a little sack of hugs and kisses chocolates. I hope you enjoy!

Hello my dear friends! Today has been a wonderful Sunday. I had a great day at church how about you? After church today I had to make a few handouts for a fireside this evening. The topic was on the Holy Ghost. After a lot of thinking about what should be the handout I finally came up with a compass and how the Holy Ghost leads us (like a compass). Here is what I came up with:
Posted by Picasa
On the back is says "Don't be a Goober, learn to use your compass" I attached the cut to a box of Goobers. I hope you like it! Have a great night!
